Was looking for a place to eat lunch on Thanksgiving Day, before celebrating with family this evening. And stopped in this small restaurant... We received the best service, and we were welcomed with a smile. I highly recommend everyone stop in and give it a try!!
What this place lacks in atmosphere, they more than make up for in food and service! I get the #7 soba noodles. They'll make your food when you order. Takes like 3 minutes.
A while back I had the beef noodle soup and It was really amazing with its fresh ingredients and warmness. The area has a cozy vibe while eating your meal, now the place is a bit small but its the right vibe for fresh food.
Love this place! Wa is an excellent cook and a super cool guy. The menu consists of just a few asian staples, pho, pad thai, ramen, etc... expertly prepared and delicious. I lived in vietnam for a while years ago and feel lucky to be able to get such good pho in evansville.
Only the best food with the nicest employees. I mentioned how much i loved kimchi and was offered some special cucumber kimchi to taste. The flavors are always perfect and I can't ever stop eating until I'm too full. 10/10 stop. Worth the drive!
Actually I wasn't in Mama's kitchen which I have eaten in there and it is authentic and good Asian food. But they have a grocery store connected to it and they have international food from everywhere in the world and their selection of fresh vegetables from those countries is amazing. I love the people that work there. But don't expect them to be able to converse with you. Only the owner speaks enough English, and she speaks it very well. But like most international markets they're more interested in getting you in and getting you out. Obviously they are not into creating a customer friendship relationship. As in saying hi there, it's nice seeing you again, have a nice day, we appreciate your business. Nothing!
